Twin Arches — Big South Fork

If you do one hike on your Big South Fork trip, make it Twin Arches. The North and South arches each rise over 100 feet — among the largest natural sandstone arches in the eastern US — on a 3.4-mile loop a short drive from Big South Glamping.

What to expect

Rated moderate, about 2–3 hours through hardwood forest and sandstone bluffs. Short side trails lead beneath each arch, where the scale is genuinely jaw-dropping.
